Having participated in competitive sports my entire life and being blessed with the opportunity to continue to play at the collegiate level, I have had my fair share of coaches. Some experiences I had were amazing, others left something to be desired. Regardless I grew from each and every one of them, I also gleaned something positive from each coach. The thing I found to be the most consistent with my most successful coaches, was the fact that they understood what resonated with each athlete. What would effectively motivate, and best drive them towards their goals...most important that it wasn't the same for each individual.
That is how I would like to approach my doula practice, and birth coaching. I want to help you find your "why", I will motivate and SUPPORT you in a way that best assists you to reach your goals. It may take some trial and error, and when it comes to birth the only thing you can plan on, is it not going exactly to plan. But that doesn't mean you can't have a wonderful, positive birth experience your way! I will help you achieve that. Like any great coach, I want to instill the confidence within you that you were made to do this!
My role as a doula in no way replaces, or takes away from your spouse or partner and their important place on your birth team. Together we will work together in our respective ways to support and facilitate a positive birth experience.

Help you decide what an ideal birth looks like to you; medicated...unmedicated, your preferences for your precious newborn and everything in between. Together we can formulate that into a written and visual plan.
